On Sunday, September 24th, the 2023 Tottori Prefecture High School English Speech Contest was held at Kotoura-cho Lifelong Learning Center Manabi Town Tohaku. Twenty-three high school students from high schools in Tottori prefecture competed.  Ms. Kanna Matsumoto from Yonago Shoin High School competed and gave a wonderful English speech titled “Stray Cats”.  Although,  she could not win a prize in the competition, it was a great learning opportunity for Ms. Matsumoto to write her own original speech, and to express her own opinion in English in front of many people. Through this English speech contest, she could build up her public speaking skills, which is a significant skill for her future career.
