On Tuesday, July 11th, the commercial high school English speech contest in Tottori prefecture was held at Yonago Shoin high school. Sixteen participants from five different high schools around Tottori prefecture competed. There were two categories in the speech contest. There was a recitation section and an original speech section. Three students from Yonago Shoin high school participated and did their best.

The winner of the recitation section was Yonago Shoin high school student, Ms. Yuri Kawashima. The runners up were Mr. Takuya Gonda from Yonago Minami high school and Ms. Kanna Matsumoto from Yonago Shoin high school.

As for the original speech category, first place went to Ms. Sakura Nagaki from Yonago high school. The runners up were Ms. Gao Mingyu from Yonago Shoin high school and Ms. Honoka Shiinoki from Yonago Minami high school. The first place winners will go to the national level contest which will be held in Tokyo in September.
