9/1防災の日
9月1日は防災の日です。
防災の日は1923年9月1日に関東大震災が発生した日であること、また台風シーズンを迎える時期であることなどなどから、地震や風水害等に対する意識を育てるために創設されたそうです。
先日の台風接近による線状降水帯の被害は記憶に新しいところですが、災害はいつ、どこで起こるのか分かりません。
避難場所や避難経路、家族との連絡方法、食料品や日用品の備蓄など日頃から準備することが大切です。

September 1st is Disaster Prevention Day.
September 1st is the day when the Great Kanto Earthquake hit. It is also about the time when the typhoon season starts, and so Disaster Prevention Day was established on this day to raise awareness of earthquakes, storms, floods.
The damage caused by the recent heavy rain caused by a passing typhoon is still fresh in our memories, we can never know when or where a disaster will strike.
It is important to always be prepared, by knowing where evacuation sites and routes are, knowing how to contact family members, and in the event of a natural disasters, stockpiling food and other daily necessities.
