5/27(土)～29(月)の３日間、県高校総体が開催され、県内各地で全国への切符をかけた熱い戦いが繰り広げられます。

当日試合に応援に行くことができないけれど、松蔭の仲間を激励したいという思いから、本校では生徒会主催による壮行式が毎年開催されています。

5/19(金)、今年度の壮行式が行われました。生徒を代表して生徒会長から各部活動への激励の言葉がかけられ、壇上に上がった各部活動代表からは県総体への意気込みの発表がありました。

ここ数年、感染症の影響で全校生徒教職員が体育館に集まり壮行式を行うことができていませんでした。今年は久しぶりに全校生徒教職員が一同に集まり、チアダンスと応援団の応援歌、そして生徒からの声援で盛大に壮行式を執り行うことができました。笑顔と拍手が溢れる心温まる式となりました。

多くの3年生にとって最後の大会となる高校総体。悔いが残らぬよう、これまでの努力の成果をすべて出し切ってほしいです。

Pep Rally

From Saturday, May 27th to Monday, May 29th, are the Prefectural High School Championships. There will be high school sports competitions all over the prefecture leading to the next level of national high school competitions.

Since it is not possible for the whole school to attend the competitions, every year, a pep rally is usually organized by the student council to encourage the competing Shoin high students.

This year’s pep rally was held on Friday, May 19th. The student council president, the representative of all the students, gave words of encouragement to the competing school teams. The captain of each sports team gave a short speech, showing their appreciation for those willing them on and their enthusiasm to compete in the upcoming competition.

In recent years, due to Covid, it was not possible for all students and staff to gather in the gymnasium for pep rallies. However, this year, for the first time in a while, all students and staff could assemble for the pep rally with cheerleaders and the baseball cheer squad cheering on the competing students. There were smiles and applauses all round from those in attendance.

For many of 12th graders, this will be their last high school competition. The school hopes they will give it their best so that they will not have any regrets looking back. Go Shoin students!
